| Summary: | We have known Joachim Kühn for a long time, yet we never tire of contemplating his handsome, romantic face and Beethoven-style mane, just as we never fail to immerse ourselves in his long-range musical journeys that reveal a rich but tormented inner world filled with melodic beauty. To enjoy this concert, you have to let yourself be carried away by its subtle touch and sensitivity to sound matter. You need to immerse yourself in this ocean of music by letting yourself float between the currents that carry the notes and the spiral forms. I believe that Kühn, who improvises on six of his compositions and now lives in Ibiza, combines his passion for romantic music with Iberian accents here. In "Figueretas," "Mar Y Sol," and "Talamanca," he indulges in rhythmic and melodic successions that recall the style of Isaac Albeniz. Philippe Lesage. |
