Description
Summary:Terry Gilliam, the maverick director of Time Bandits, Brazil, The Fisher King, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and most recently, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, came to fame for his work with Monty Python but he always wanted to direct. Brazil was critically acclaimed but a difficult sell. The Adventures of Baron Munchausen gave him the reputation of going over budget - although it was the one and only time. Various forces both natural and financial came bearing down on his epic project, Man of La Mancha causing the shoot to collapse. He maintains that Hollywood still doesn't like him but many critics regard him as one of the world's most imaginative and original directors.
