From poignant telephone calls with the recently bereaved to the challenging tissue donations carried out by the retrieval team, this is an opportunity to enter this never-before-seen world. As the team travel across the nation day and night, we share their intimate reflections on the meaning of life and death and discover how they cope psychologically with the challenges and emotional demands of the job. Away from the medical process of the retrievals, we meet some of the many young tissue recipients as their lives are transformed through the generosity of donors.
