We explore contemporary socially relevant issues such as bullying, mental health, school violence, and peer pressure in order to spark discussion inside and outside of the classroom. Revealing Media Group is a production company that collaborates with the youth of today and gives their authentic voices a chance to be heard. A boy faces the difficult decision whether to keep watching bullying, or to become a vehicle for change. Bystander is a short fiction film that addresses contemporary bullying. The film was made collaboratively with students, inspired by their own experiences. This story is told through the eyes of a bystander - who learns to be an upstander - and take a stand against bullying. Themes include cyberbullying, speaking out, self-worth and what it feels like to be different. |
