Summary:The 2014 Standards represents the 5th edition in the series of standards developed by the professional organizations in educational and psychological assessment (American Psychological Association, American Educational Research Association, and the National Council on Measurement in Education). This webinar will situate the 2014 Standards in the context of the history of these Standards. It will give an overview of the revision process, identify key challenges that were faced by the Joint Committee in completing the revision, and present areas of major changes from the 1999 Standards. The webinar concludes with a discussion of intended and unintended uses of the Standards.
