| Summary: | Over the last decade, there has been growing concern about the preparedness levels of college-bound high school students. Much of this concern focuses on a perceived misalignment of high school and college academic expectations, with high school standards below those of many colleges and universities nationwide. In this presentation, the evidence both supporting and refuting this misalignment will be discussed. The implications of this research on the need for greater articulation of postsecondary standards and accountability systems will be discussed. |
