His Highness Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Ta'isi, Head of the State of Samoa, provides an account of the event in Samoan history that gave rise to the proverb "e leai se gaumata'u, na o le gaualofa", which loosely translates as "what you do out of love will last forever."
