Description
Summary:Following the killing of Osama Bin Laden this is a shocking and timely investigation into how Pakistan's government and its intelligence agency, the ISI, have helped build the insurgency in Afghanistan and continue to control and manipulate it for their own purposes. Using eye witness testimony from both sides of the conflict, the programme reveals how Pakistan has trained, funded and armed the Taliban, including groups like the Haqqani network that have close links to Al Qaeda. Exposing the Inter-Services Intelligence agency's role in attacks on British, US and NATO soldiers, it investigates how, since 9/11, Pakistan and the ISI have absorbed billions of dollars in US funding, while secretly supporting insurgents that kill US and NATO soldiers.
