Summary:1995 saw terrorism return to the US, ethic cleansing in the Balkans, and orbiting space crews set new records in endurance. In April, United States army veteran Timothy McVeigh set off a car bomb which destroyed a federal building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people and causing widespread panic. McVeigh was later executed, in 2001. Meanwhile, in space, the Russians were setting records for their cosmonauts spending over 400 days in space. After the war in Bosnia, the United Nations charged 21 Bosnian Serb commanders with genocide and crimes against humanity.
