Banyu, a supermarket customer service representative, is obsessed with finding out why his father left the family after the accidental death of his little sister Biru. Convinced that his father, a scientist, was an uncaring man who kept his family at a distance while self-absorbed with his work, Banyu is haunted by questions. As a little boy, he turned inside to a world of fantasy and isolation, finally leaving home as a young man. Banyu has not seen his father for ten years and decides to find him and confront him. On Banyu's road trip, he encounters some colorful characters, including his uncle and a young woman who lived next door as a child. They challenge his reality and how he remembers his youth.
