| Summary: | Wouldn't it be great if teachers had the opportunity to produce their own videos and have them broadcast on Teachers TV? Well, that's what Action! Teacher Video is all about; and in this episode you can see a video created by Gayle Cordiner called Sixth Form Tutorial System . This video features a project carried out at Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh, which looks at a new personal tutor system introduced for both pastoral and academic support. Presenter Xanthe Steen is joined in the studio by Gayle, education consultant Adrienne Jones, and fellow teacher Catherine Stevenson, to discuss the project. They talk about the key issues of student voice, independent learning, achievement in both academic and pastoral spheres and the importance of caring for each pupils individual needs. They also consider the wider implications of using video for assessment and CPD. See the resources and support materials page for links related to this programme. |
