Description
Summary:India, a country with a population of over one billion, is faced with profound changes that are rocking the landmarks of this thousand-year-old civilisation. This upheaval can be most closely observed in the private lives of ordinary people. Three families, from three different regions and three social backgrounds, open their doors to us. The first, small farmers near Pondichery in the south of India; the second, Muslims in Kanpur, an industrial city in the north; and the third in Mumbai, the economic heart of the nation. Through the observance of their daily lives, we paint a portrait of today's India.
