The church was always very dear to the heart of the Dresdeners and just as its ruins were a constant reminder of the Second World War, the rebuilt church will remain a monument to and a symbol of hope and conciliation. Thus the reopening proved to be a touching event of great solemnity, which was perfectly matched by the Missa solemnis. |
