| Abstract: | A well rounded documentary about the work of renowned film director, Carl Theodore Dreyer - a director who has left an incredible mark on the world of filmmaking. Carl Theodor Dreyer (1889-1969), famous film director, made his mark on the first century of moving pictures. He directed films such as The Passion of Jean d Arc, Vampire, Day of Warth, The Word and Gertrud. This film operates along three paths: A documentary in which actors, colleagues and filmmakers appear who worked with Dreyer. Secondly, cuts from Dreyer's film and thirdly, Dreyer's own statements about his metier as a filmmaker. |
