Description
Summary:Hornsey School for Girls have rated secondary maths teacher Simon Brilliant's lessons as good but thinks there's room for improvement. We bring in top School Inspector Clare Gillies to assess one of Simon's Year 8 lessons. The inspector's feedback after his lesson on Patterns and Sequences highlights a need for more pupil interactivity and a more appropriate use of classroom resources as his main areas for improvement. Then he's off to our clinic to get one-to-one CPD advice from our communications coach Roger Terry, to work on Simon's presence in the classroom and Principal Lecturer in Maths, Alison Clark-Wilson to work on pupil engagement. Simon then has three weeks back in the classroom to turn their advice into action before the inspector returns to observe a second lesson and deliver her final verdict. Will Simon have made the grade? Will he have raised his game sufficiently to impress the Inspector?
