Each play, skillfully edited by BBC producers in order to maintain dramatic integrity, features cast members chosen from among Britain's finest performers. Mr. Jose Ferrar serves as host for the series, introducing each play with an articulate commentary. William (Bill) Hindman serves as narrator for the series. Julie Harris makes a camera appearance in this video. With its thematic orientation to the elements of the theater, the course fulfills the basic drama requirements of many colleges and universities.
