Description
Summary:In this three part series we bring together six twelve and thirteen-year-old children from all over Britain who would otherwise not mix due to geography, prejudice and social separation. They head off for a short camping trip in the Lake District to take part in a range of activities delivered by historian and expert in social cohesion, Dr Nick Barratt, designed to help them discover what it means to be British. Episode one introduces each of the children in their home towns, offering an insight into who they feel they are and the social politics that surround them, and records their initial reactions to each other as they meet for the first time.
