Description
Summary:With the ever-increasing complexity of running schools, and ever-greater pressures on finance, there is a growing need for a senior business manager to relieve the pressure on over-stretched headteachers. Traditionally this role has been fulfilled by a bursar and this role is now being updated with a high-level and intensive course to teach the skills associated with being a super-bursar. This programme follows Mandy Nunnington as she embarks on the Certificate in School Business Management, run with the endorsement of the National College for School Leadership. Mandy admits that the course, whilst providing a qualification which will enhance her career, is extremely hard work. The programme shows Mandy attending seminars and workshops and completing home study courses. There's also an assessment from her current headteacher of how such a qualification would improve career opportunities for those currently working in senior administrative roles within schools.
