| Abstract: | Seven year old Sanju Benia literally lives on the wrong side of the tracks. A railway line cuts straight through her remote tribal village. Her only option is to cross the track - and watch out for the trains that thunder past. Sanju is an Untouchable, the lowest of the low. But because she lives in a tribal village and not in mainstream Indian society, Sanju has a slightly better quality of life. But life for Sanju and her family is still a constant struggle. |
