This program looks at strategies that can be implemented to prevent and manage bullying in the workplace and investigates some of the important aspects of the development of a policy and procedures to deal with bullying. Workplace bullying not only has devastating effects on individuals who are targeted by a bully, but it can also be costly to a business in terms of diminished production, poor performance and an increase in staff turnover. Worse still, if bullying is not appropriately managed, a culture of fear and bullying can quickly become endemic in an organisation. Using dramatised scenes and interviews with a variety of industry experts, this program demonstrates some of the many forms of workplace bullying and offers a sound framework to help understand the nature, causes and effects of workplace bullying.
