| Abstract: | People in Britain are turning, in ever increasing numbers, to mediums and psychics for comfort, information and a sense of resolution. In this exploration of modern spiritualism and its place in society today, the work of three prominent mediums is assessed and scrutinised. Gordon 'The Psychic Barber' Smith; Sharon Niell, whose insights have helped bring killers to justice; and Craig Hamilton-Parker, former resident psychic on a popular breakfast time show. All provide tantalising evidence of a spirit world even the most sceptical, fervent anti-spiritualist would find extremely difficult to refute. |
