The Mystery of the Leaping Fish (1916), a modern-dress comedy, was directed by Christy Cabanne and John Emerson; it stars Fairbanks, Bessie Love, and Allan Sears. Fairbanks plays Coke Ennyday, a cocaine-using scientific detective investigating an opium-smuggling scheme, in this satire of the Sherlock Holmes stories. |
