Description
Summary:Reporter Bridgid Nzekwu and DfES procurement expert Claire Dicks visit Ranelagh Primary School in East London. The school is trying hard to pay off a deficit and everyone at the school is doing their best to save money. Staff cover for each other rather than using supply teachers and even the children are encouraged to save money in an assembly taken by the business manager, Zena Smart. Zena shows Bridgid and Claire around the school to see if Claire can find the kind of savings to enable the school can save enough per year to pay off a sizeable chunk of the deficit and realise a dream project. The answer proves to lie in the school's local authority contracts.
