A keen advocate of Assessment for Learning, Andy is a former circus entertainer who now channels his performing zeal into his lessons. John spends the day with him observing him introduce two Year 11 classes of different abilities to the subject of comets, meteors and asteroids. From using movie clips and interactive whiteboard graphics to group work where students work out, discuss and present their findings, Andy powers the lessons from starter activity to conclusion.
