Description
Summary:Monday, 6th August 1945 began like any other day for the citizens of Hiroshima, Japan. Little did they know, but in mere hours a weapon like the world had never seen before would be dropped on their city, killing 80,000 and devastating the landscape. Three days later, a similar fate would befall Nagasaki, Japan. It all started with Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941; an event that drew a reluctant US into WWII. The bombings on the two Japanese cities would see the beginning of the end of the war, and as such, is remembered as the main event of 1945.
