Description
Summary:The trainees have left the observing behind them and are in new schools until Christmas. Now they will have to stand alone and get used to being observed by school mentors and university tutors. Karen faces her first day at a school in Bolton. Her girls’ grammar school background will do little to prepare her for what she is about to experience. Her husband knows that she is going to find the next year very hard. With an army and rugby background, Richard is fairly confident in the classroom. But the first lesson he has to teach is physics, to a group of 15-year-olds, and Richard’s degree is in biology. Lisa has always been embarrassed about her Salford accent but she is made even more aware of it when she is sent to a school in affluent Cheshire. Having taught her first lesson she then has to demonstrate her skills in front of her university tutor.
