The result of this adventure is the fascinating travel story 'Around the World of a Novelist,' published in three volumes between 1924 and 1925. Within this account, Japan occupies a preponderant space, both in length and in descriptive and analytical involvement on the part of the author. A century later, this book exposes the keys to Japan's prominence in Blasco Ibáñez's story and offers an annotated edition of the chapters that the writer dedicated to his tour of Japanese lands.
