Description
Abstract:"Scalability of H2 Production by Photocatalysis. The production of H2 by photocatalysis is a sustainable alternative to conventional methods of H2 generation. In the quest to develop high-performance photocatalysts for the scale-up of this reaction, several materials have been explored, but the desirable breakthrough is yet to be achieved. The photocatalyst design is crucial, and the selection of materials is important: factors like band gap, band edge positions, light absorption, photogenerated charge dynamics, catalytically active sites, among others, must be considered before proceeding with the synthesis of materials. This volume focuses on the basic design and development of efficient photocatalysts and will guide researchers and industrial professionals in the development of high-performance next generation photocatalytic materials for the production of green H2."-- Provided by publisher.
