Description
Summary:The global effort to thwart the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) requires difficult choices to be made on both the collective and individual level. While governments at the national, state, and local levels in the United States have crafted policies of their own, private enterprise has also lent its effort to the cause. In the present case, governmental policies are not considered. Instead, this case study inquires as to what business policies best allow organizations to continue operating while limiting the spread of the virus through boosting employee vaccination rates.Students will be asked to evaluate what combination of approaches will prove most apt to address the evolving pandemic. Preferences will vary, given the particularities of the companies considering options and the specifics of the Covid variant, among other factors. The intent is to encourage careful contemplation of the situation when crafting company policy.
