Carbon dioxide, along with other greenhouse gases (GHGs), is one of the most notorious polluters of the atmosphere and continues to damage the global environment's health. The locals are not educated about it, and very few initiatives are taken to fight the battle. Nevertheless, a growing number of people concerned about environmental well-being are increasing. A circular economy is one of the major ways to reduce waste produced by different sectors and industries. SWAP, Bangladesh's first re-commerce business, is willing to make a difference by influencing people to adopt its business framework. The focus of the SWAP business model is to reduce Bangladesh's e-waste and eventually lower GHG emissions, helping to tackle the climate-change crisis head-on. Previously used electronic gadgets can be sold on SWAP's platform, which helps to reduce the amount of e-waste produced in the economy. The model also allows and encourages reusing of old electronic products, enforcing the circular economy.This management case is suitable for both graduate and undergraduate students. The case aims to provide a thorough understanding of the business model of SWAP and how it impacts our society. Moreover, the case further aims for students to grasp the idea of a circular economy to ponder the sectors where this model can be implemented. This is suitable for courses in strategic management, supply-chain management, development economics, entrepreneurship, and other environment-related courses. However, the question remains: will SWAP be able to sustain their business in Bangladesh? Will it encourage other businesses and the country's population to adopt the business model?
