| Summary: | In the summer of 2017, Azuri Technologies CEO Simon Bransfield-Garth calls a board meeting with his executive team. Though the company has recently made huge strides in offering off-grid television in sub-Saharan Africa to complement its basic solar lighting product, Bransfield-Garth is concerned about the company's distribution process. The existing process of building up well-rounded distributors from scratch is costly and time intensive. Additionally, these distributors are increasingly difficult to manage, as with sufficient capital they could substitute Azuri's product with that of any other company. The CEO believes that as Azuri continues to grow, a novel distribution approach is necessary to bring control of the process back to the centre. |
