| Summary: | With a growing international student population in most U.S. and Canadian institutions, the role of enrollment manager is facing new types of challenges on many campuses. Hilltop University is a private mid-size university in the American Midwest. In response to decreases in enrollment, the university aggressively seeks to increase its international student population. The effort is successful, but these new students encounter organizational barriers, and administrators report problems with the larger numbers of international students. In this case, students are asked to analyze organizational culture and apply organizational theories toward campus internationalization. Furthermore, the case offers students an opportunity to apply various organizational behavior theories, leadership styles, and decision-making principles. |
