Summary:	The use of the Internet in Thailand has evolved since the 1980s to include a wide breadth of applications, including the enhancement of education at every level. To support the national education system, and the creation of a knowledge-based society, the Thai government has adopted and promoted various technologies, including the Internet, to support electronic learning (e-learning) initiatives. This case offers an overview of e-learning, and asks if electronic portfolios are the wave of the future in educating a knowledge-based society in Thailand.
