Description
Summary:The research process is never straightforward when it comes to exploring sensitive issues such as intimate partner violence (IPV), a social and public health issue which affects millions of women across the globe. Researching IPV is an important but complex and challenging process, especially when it involves data collection from more than one country and in more than one language. This case study aims to describe some of the methodological challenges and issues involved in conducting research on IPV using a constructivist grounded theory approach on a topic like intimate partner violence. The case study also explains strategies that can be used to overcome such challenges.
