Description
Summary:This dataset is designed for teaching how to conduct a qualitative data analysis using two types of coding, value coding and pattern coding, in an online-based environment. The coding was done in the framework of a case study and consisted of several stages that will be described in the article. The data are provided by professor Darren Adamson, PhD, Professor Yulia Watters, PhD, and Lea Valencia Noring, doctoral student from Northcentral University, School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Department of Marriage and Family Sciences and are drawn from semi-structured interviews conducted with students across different schools in this university. The exemplar is then examined from the perspective of the coding that was performed in order to understand how students perceive faculty efficiency in an online environment. The dataset files are accompanied by a Teaching Guide and a Student Guide.
