Description
Summary:This dataset is designed for teaching thematic and narrative analysis of question--response transcripts. The data are provided by Dr. Samantha J. Andrews from Keele University and are drawn from a private, redacted collection of courtroom transcripts provided for research by the Scottish High Courts. The example focuses on how the questions asked of children by prosecutors and defence lawyers can be qualitatively examined for the presence of themes and how such themes are used by the lawyers to construct narratives that promote the legal motivations of the alleged victims or defendants. The dataset files are accompanied by a Teaching Guide and a Student Guide.
