The main objective of the case study is to describe unique challenges that researchers often encounter during such research, including establishing the relationship, confronting unexpected obstacles, and negotiating flexibility and control. The case study provides an opportunity to document specific strategies that were employed to maximize the opportunity for a mutually beneficial collaboration. The research process and findings supported the hypotheses regarding student motivation and created opportunities for expanded community engagement and partnership. |
