Summary:	This dataset focusses on the different ways writing is interleaved into working with computer assisted qualitative data analysis software (CAQDAS) and ATLAS.ti, with a particular focus on how to export that writing as draft segments for refinement and inclusion in research reports such as theses and journal articles.This data and analysis processes are focused on content analysis and incorporate recent developments in CAQDAS. These developments include opportunities to undertake rapid, automated topic, and sentiment extraction from text transcripts and then combine this with a qualitative approach to analysis, with those approaches forming the example data. However, the steps detailed here are applicable to a wide variety of analysis approaches.The dataset files are from the Trump White House Press Briefings and Statements archive. The selected data is taken from the Coronavirus Task Force press briefings. The dataset files are accompanied by a teaching guide and a student guide.
