Description
Summary:In this case study, I describe the methodological and practical problems that arise when performing a study with longitudinal design, as well as the process to be followed for analysis of information obtained from this kind of study, in order to be used to influence policy decisions or decision on developing interventions. The study on aging and dementia in Mexico is an example of a longitudinal study that sought data on the same subjects repeatedly over a determined period of time to identify what changes are produced in that time related with dementia, a disease that was studied to establish individual and global risk profiles in the population.
