I consider ethical considerations beyond institutional review board ethics that touch on cultural humility, accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion in research. Such considerations include, for example, the words we use to describe participants, integrating their perspectives into the research process, mirroring their language, and being aware of our positionality in the research process. This case study is based on a study that conducted 30 interviews with immigrant-serving nonprofit leaders to understand the strategies they employ contributing to immigrant inclusion outcomes in the United States.
