| Summary: | The originality of the proposed research methodology stems from a combination of creation practices and the better-known university research approach. Creating an innovative, tangible, reflective, and inductive tool that combines Design, nursing, and psychology, from a perspective based on the nurse-patient relationship and experiences to improve nurses' competencies in relation with patient safety, represents a difficult task. Through a qualitative ethnographic research design based on this combined methodology, we aim at better understanding issues associated with nursing practices and its functional environment, to develop a continued education and professional development tool. The paradigm will be discussed, along with the researchers' data collection strategies. The creation of this portfolio ultimately seeks to support reflective nursing practices, with beneficial contributions to the population's overall physical, psychological, psychosocial, and spiritual well-being through the humanization of care. |
