Description
Summary:This case study highlights the use of life story interview method in a dissertation project on mixed race identity in Canada. It begins with a discussion of life story method, including its epistemological and ontological assumptions. It then moves to focus on how I, as a researcher who identifies as mixed race, reflexively engaged with similarities and differences--complex commonalities--that emerged between myself and the study participants during the research process. This works to complicate the binary of insider/outsider research.
