| Summary: | This dataset is designed for teaching multiple regression. The dataset is a subset of data derived from the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Kindergarten (ECLSK) Class of 1998-1999 at the National Center for Education Statistics, and the example presents an analysis of whether a kindergarten student's general knowledge performance (which includes knowledge of social studies and science) can be predicted by their performance in reading and/or math. The dataset file is accompanied by a Teaching Guide, a Student Guide, and a How-to Guide for Stata. The Student Guide and data curation were done by the Odum Institute, and the How-to Guide was co-authored by Abigail-Kate Reid and Nick Allum. |
