| Summary: | This case study focuses on a qualitative project initiated early in the COVID-19 pandemic to discuss our experience and decision-making in designing and conducting a research study online. To complete this study of primary care physicians' perspectives about their rapid transition to using telehealth to deliver care, we pivoted from the traditional method of conducting in-person interviews to conducting interviews using an entirely virtual format. Data management and analysis were then also completed online using videoconference and cloud-based file sharing platforms. Our aim in this case study is to describe methodological considerations in performing qualitative data collection and data analysis via the Internet, and present strategies that may facilitate that process. |
