Typical of nineteenth-century scrapbooks, they are bound volumes into which have been pasted all types of materials, most especially newspaper and journal clippings, correspondence, photographs, ephemera and memorabilia. Scrapbooks dealing with Japan, China and Korea, Japanese-American relations, WEG's writings, lectures and his family were filmed. Those dealing narrowly with American History or European topics were not filmed. |
