| Summary: | "The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMF5), Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC), Galveston Laboratory's sea turtle research was initiated in 1978 with experimental head starting of Kemp's ridley sea turtles, Lepidochelys kempi (Klima and McVey 1982). As head starting has continued, the laboratory has expanded its sea turtle research to include a wide variety of additional topics. This bibliography updates the previously published bibliography of publications and reports on sea turtles by NMFS Galveston Laboratory personnel (Caillouet, 1991). It also provides information concerning how copies or reprints might be obtained. For example, NOAA Technical Memoranda in the bibliography can be obtained from the National Technical Information Service (NTIS), 5285 Port Royal Road, Springfield, VA 22161 (refer to the accession number when ordering copies).
