| Abstract: | One bell, cast by Henry N. Hooper and Company in Boston, 1857. Originally purchased to serve as the tower bell in the center of the Texas A&M University at Galveston campus, the bell is currently displayed in the library. Robbie de Vries and twelve other donors acquired the bell by auction in 1987. |
