Civil Career - chemical engineer; 3. Boy scouts of America; 4. United States Navy; 5. Publications; and 6. Photographs. Series 3: Boy Scouts of America is further subdivided into four subseries: A. National; B. Trinity District; C. Trinity Neches Council; D. Beaumont, TX. Series 4: United States Navy is subdivided into three subseries: A. Reserves; B. Courses and Seminars (B.1. Navy War College-correspondence course; B.2. West Coast Ordnance Seminar; B.3. BUWEPS Naval Weapons Course; B.4. Weapons Development and Test Course); and Series 5: Publications into five subseries: A. Journals; B. Newsletters; C. Pamphlets/Brochures; D. Monographs; E. Maps. The organization of Boy Scout troops sponsored by the PTA of Longfellow School in Beaumont, Texas in 1958 is detailed with names and addresses of troop members. There are numerous documents related to the correspondence course in strategy and tactics which Malik took from the Naval War College in 1958. Incoming correspondence is related to his service as a Boy Scout troop leader, his service in the Naval Reserves, and one letter from the President of the Naval War College, Vice ADM S.H. Ingersoll. Included in Series 5: Publications are numerous journals from the Navy. Series 6: Photographs include two group photographs taken while at various Navy Reserve training seminars.
