| Abstract: | This Thesis ivestigates the thermal behavior of the dielectric properties of Barium Titanate single crystal. Emphasis is placed on physical explanation of the behavior encountered. This Thesis covers the importance of conducting this type of research, basic dielectric theory (particularly for ferroelectric materials), the results of the experimentation and establishes the link between the observed behavior and the structural characteristics of Barium Titanate. The Appendices contain discussions of ferroelectric phenomenon and methods of dielectric measurement. |
