Abstract:The increase in size and complexity of scientific and engineering datasets has dictated the need for efficient Computer Graphics systems for visualization. Such graphics systems require high speed transformation of vertices and high speed rendering. A high performance transformation processor is proposed here for inclusion in a total graphics system. The processor will incorporate a systolic architecture and extensive pipelining to achieve high throughput.
